Reading/Writing the Mallee: Carrie Tiffany, Michael Meehan and Kerry McGinnis
On Friday 14 July 2017, three Australian writers who use the setting of the Mallee in their work—Carrie Tiffany, Michael Meehan and Kerry McGinnis—discussed how literary works have evoked that particular part of the world at a Mildura Writers Festival panel discussion held at the Museum of Innocence in Mildura. They discussed the surprising diversity of Mallee literary history and how readers and writers contribute to the imaginative rendering of place, and in turn, how that place is inhabited.
The session was chaired by Emily Potter and was made possible by the assistance of Deakin University and RMIT.
